AFRICAN DRUMMING WORKSHOP
Saturday 5th May 1-2.30PM
With: Kathy Kermanidis from Drumming Circle
Everyone, no matter what age, race, gender, or ability, can participate in a drum circle.
Drumming encourages teamwork, discipline, listening and being ourselves.
In this workshop you will learn an authentic African rhythm, the special rhythm of each instrument (Duns (big drums played with sticks), Djembes (hand drums), Cowbells and Shakers) and its song.
Each player concentrates on their own part and enjoys the sound the whole ensemble makes together...inviting the African spirits to join us in our play!
BELGRAVE LANTERN PARADE:
LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS
Saturday 2nd June 1pm to 4pm
Cost:
$5 or $10 (depending on the lantern you choose to make) -
Come along to this fun workshop and make your own unique lantern.
All instructions and materials will be provided . Participants are encouraged to bring their finished
lanterns to the Belgrave Lantern Parade on Saturday 23rd June, 2012, so create a beautiful
lantern and parade your masterpiece at this fabulous community event.

Occasional Care
We provide quality occasional care for children from toddlers to 4 years old in a
small, fun and friendly group.
Our goal is to support and nurture
children to
become more independent and self confident. We allow children to learn at their
own pace while providing a range of activities designed to enhance their holistic
development.
Our programs aim to foster your child's social, physical and intellectual
development, based on their individual needs, interests and abilities.
We work in
partnership with parents to ensure that each child is able to maximize their potential
in an environment of mutual trust and respect. |

Playgroups
Bring along your little ones & join one of our fun facilitated, play group sessions.
Open to families with babies to 4 yr olds. Parents can enjoy a cuppa & make some
new friends while the littlies enjoy a range of play experiences that stimulate their
development. A great morning of fun for all!

As a result, it is vital that your child's contact information is up to date. Please
contact
the House at any time if your contact details change.
Please make sure
danger ratings as the
House will be closed on
all
days of Total Fire Ban.

of children, house participants

further information as it becomes available.
